  • The 'Stag-cademy Awards 2023' are handed out annually by Last Night of Freedom, the UK’s biggest Stag and Hen party provider.

  • It comes as Liverpool is again named Europe’s most popular Hen Party destination.

  • Peacock Cocktail Bar and Einstein Bier Haus named the City’s best Stag & Hen nightspots.

  • Liverpool’s best burger, bottomless brunch and afternoon tea have also been named.

Liverpool’s crown jewels for the Stag and Hen do scene have been named, ahead of what is expected to be one of the City’s busiest ever party seasons.

Here at The Liverpudlian we love to celebrate the amazing achievements of Liverpool, and recognise all of the unparalleled offerings that bring people from across the globe to the epicentre of the Liverpool City Region.

With Liverpool being once again crowned Europe’s busiest Hen Party destination, and the fact that the City is hosting Europe's biggest party, Eurovision, taking place only around the corner this coming May. We thought it would be a great idea to talk about the amazing companies that have been crowned the best venues for Stag & Hen Parties, helping make Liverpool The Party Capital.

Everything from Liverpool’s best party bars to the tastiest afternoon tea have been handed awards in the Stag and Hen industry's version of the Academy Awards or the Oscars, The Stag-cademy Awards 2023, which is run by leading Stage & Hen party provider, Last Night of Freedom.

'It is now firmly cemented as one of the great party cities, not just in Europe, but in the World.' - Matt Mavir, Managing Director of Last Night of Freedom.

Dubbed the ‘Stag-ademy Awards’ the awards are handed out annually by Last Night of Freedom, Britain’s leading Stag and Hen party providers.

And the party firm has named Peacock Cocktail Bar as the city’s top hen haunt, with the Bavarian-themed Einstein Bier Haus topping the table for Stags.

Matt Mavir, Managing Director of Hen & Stag party company, Last Night of Freedom, said: 'The quality of Liverpool’s bars is pretty much second to none, so it was a really hard decision – the runners-up would have won in any other city.'

He said: 'However, both our winners tick every box. Peacock’s cocktails are just superb, and the feedback we’ve had from Hens has been nothing short of superb. It is the perfect venue for Hens to unwind and bond.'

Matt added: 'Einstein Bier Haus is a completely different vibe – it is lively and raucous – but it has a great décor, dozens of screens and more beers than your average supermarket, so it isn’t a surprise it came out on top.'

Elsewhere, immersive speakeasy cocktail haunt, Alcotraz, picked up the gong for the Best Hen Party Activity while Hatchett Harry’s – an axe throwing venue – was crowned Best Stag Activity.

Pins Social Club, a boutique bowling venue, won the award for Best Bottomless Brunch with Mrs Blodget’s Tipsy Afternoon Tea was crowned Best Afternoon Tea.

The accolades come as Liverpool is once again crowned Europe’s busiest Hen Party destination.

And across the entire continent, only Newcastle attracts more Stags, with bookings to the Liverpool City Region rocketing in the past 12 months. And for both Stags and Hens, trips to Liverpool increased by a whopping 37 per cent last year – with the booking boom expected to carry on into 2023.

This weekend alone, industry data has revealed that Liverpool is expected to host almost 150 Hen Parties – almost twice as many as any other European location.

Matt added: 'Demand for Stags and Hens to Liverpool this year is already sky-high,' added Matt.

He said: 'It is now firmly cemented as one of the great party cities, not just in Europe, but in the World.'

Matt said: 'On the back of covid rules lifting, last year was Liverpool’s busiest 12 months ever, yet it is such a popular destination, it wouldn’t be a surprise if 2023 broke that record.'

He added: 'That’s why these awards are so important. Tens of thousands of Stags and Hens will visit Liverpool this year, so they help guide groups’ decision making so that they have the best weekend possible.'
