REVIEW: Nova Scotia's Sunday Roast & Scouse Experience - The Liverpool Venue Celebrating Scouse
The Liverpool Waterfront Venue, Nova Scotia, Has Introduced A Fabulous Approach To Sunday Roasts By Combining The Dish With A Side Of Scouse Stew

Nova Scotia, the rustic venue situated on Liverpool's Waterfront, is serving the City's famous dish in perfect combination with a Roast dinner every Sunday.
We were invited to try Nova Scotia's beautiful Sunday Roast & Bowl of Scouse at their Mann Island venue. It was a lovely, innovative approach for two of our favourite meals, blended perfectly onto the one plate.
I chose the Roast Beef, and Lauren selected the Pork Belly Sunday Roast, alongside a few of Nova Scotia's signature cocktails including the 'Tempest Hey' which is a nod to their sister venue, Tempest On Tithebarn. As well as their 'Jamaica Street' Cocktail, an ode to the central street running through the historic neighbourhood, The Baltic Triangle.

Scouse is a staple in the Liverpool City Region, however, only a selection of venues in Liverpool City Centre actually serve the dish that us Liverpudlians are nicknamed after, as well as it being the nickname of our accent and dialect.
Nova Scotia's sister venue, Ma Boyle's, is often named one of the best venues in the City Centre for a Bowl of Scouse, so it seems only right that Nova Scotia — which celebrates the fascinating history of Liverpool — also celebrates the dish that contributes to our rich and diverse heritage.
The inhabitants of the Liverpool City Region are known as Liverpudlians, however, are nicknamed 'Scousers' as people in the Port of Liverpool areas such as Bootle, Seaforth, Birkenhead, the Pier Head, Wallasey and Dingle would often eat Bowls of Scouse stew due to it being such a hearty meal.

The location of Nova Scotia is ideal, situated on Mann Island at the Waterfront, which is only a short walk from Liverpool ONE and across the street from James Street Station.
Nova Scotia's location also made for a perfect waterfront walk after our meal with the picturesque views of the River Mersey and the Royal Liver Building quite literally as you turn the corner onto Princess Boulevard on the Pier Head.
We often visit Nova Scotia, for both invited events and meals, as well as on numerous unannounced occasions with family and friends. The food and drinks are always a delight which is why we often visit, and their staff are always looking to provide the most enjoyable experiences.
The Sunday Roast Experience Menu is available at the Waterfront locale from 1pm until 6pm every Sunday at Nova Scotia.
