The Liverpool City Region Has Made It To The Final Stage Of The Eurovision Decision-Making Process

Liverpool is in the Final Two to host Eurovision 2023 with the decision soon coming. The Liverpool City Region is up alongside Glasgow in the running to be the Host City for the 67th Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Ukraine.


Known as the 'World Capital City of Pop' and a Twin City for Ukrainian City, Odesa, many believe Liverpool would be the perfect choice to Host Eurovision 2023. Not to mention the Liverpool won European Capital Of Culture in 2008!

'[Eurovision] look forward to continuing our discussions to choose the one which will stage the world’s largest music event next May.’ - Eurovision Song Contest.

Liverpool is also a UNESCO City Of Music, exemplifying the level of quality that the Liverpool City Region has to offer.

The Eurovision Song Contest, in a statement, said: 'We’re confident our final two cities are the best placed to meet this challenge and look forward to continuing our discussions to choose the one which will stage the world’s largest music event next May.’
