Set in the heart of one of Liverpool's most noted, leafy suburbs, West Derby Golf Club already has a prestigious reputation as one of the Liverpool City Region’s most established courses.

The venue’s club house is also home to a variety of events and parties, hosting casual get-togethers and formal parties, as well as being a popular hotspot to view leading sporting events.

This festive season West Derby Golf Club is launching its own Tribute Events throughout December, taking place during both weekday afternoons of Tuesday and Wednesday, plus Friday evenings, with a format which takes care of every partygoers’ needs.

Each event starts with a luxury Christmas Carvery, which allows guests to enjoy a beautifully prepared meal, including traditional Christmas options Roast Turkey, Honey Roast Gammon and Roast Beef, Vegan and vegetarian varieties, and a wide selection of vegetables finished off with a festive dessert.

Once the meal has finished, guests will then be able to sit back and relax, enjoying entertainment from some of the City Region's leading tribute acts including singers and bands playing musical homage to Cher, Elton John, Gary Barlow, Elvis, Neil Diamond, Madonna, Tina Turner, Bob Marley and Freddie Mercury.

Colin Donnelly of West Derby Golf Club, explains: 'Our club house has a long tradition of being a really welcoming and picturesque place to hold the perfect function. As a team, we decided to launch our festive menu and combine our events with some of our favourite tribute singers.'

Colin added: 'Each event, which takes place throughout December, provides guests with some great options, whether they choose a Tuesday or a Wednesday afternoon, or that all-important Friday evening slot. This makes us a fitting place for work colleagues, friendships groups or families to plan a festive treat in advance, knowing that all they have to do is turn up - a mouth-watering meal and then some fantastic entertainment is then taken care of. The price of our events also offers great value for our clients, knowing that with our reputation, we will always go the extra mile in terms of quality and presentation.'

He said: 'Being located in West Derby, we are easily accessible from all areas of the City, and we know from speaking to some of our regular club house guests that they really appreciate attending a party that is easy to get to.'

He added: 'Our tribute acts are really something special, and of course, covering such a wide variety of musical taste, there really is something for everyone. There is something about listening to some of your favourite hits, and joining in the party, that really gets everyone into the festive mood. Our Friday evening event has the extra special addition of a DJ until midnight, so that partygoers can really top off their night in style.'

Colin said: 'It will also give new guests who have never visited us before a chance to see our wonderful facilities, and our esteemed club, which really is something special.'

Weekday Festive Carvery & Tribute Party:

The Carvery is from 1pm until 3:30pm. The act starts at 4.30 pm, with tickets costing only £35 per guest.

• Wednesday the 6th of December — Elton John

• Tuesday the 12th of December — Elvis

• Wednesday the 13th of December — Neil Diamond

• Tuesday the 19th of December — Bob Marley

• Wednesday the 20th of December — Freddie Mercury

Friday Festive Carvery & Tribute Party:

The Carvery is from 6:30pm until 8:30pm. The act starts at 9pm and the DJ is on until midnight. Tickets are £40 per guest.

• Friday the 8th of December — Gary Barlow.

• Friday the 15th of December — Madonna and Tina Turner.

• Friday the 22nd of December — Soul Diva.
