Picante is returning to Liverpool this spring after capturing the City’s imagination last year when the Mexican-inspired cantina brought a fun and fiery taste of Guadalajara to Liverpool City Centre.

With incredible food and a range of next-level cocktails, especially including their magical margaritas, Picante splashed vibrant colours, sounds and tastes across the Cains Brewery Village in The Baltic Triangle.

And now the team are coming back for their second season, launching on Friday the 13th of March 2026. Their wild fusion as a margarita mecca, street-food hotspot and Latin house party, infused with plentiful agave, is ready to kick-start Spring into action.

Picante’s Margarita Masterclasses are back, hosted by Cocktail Kate. Each Saturday session is 90 minutes, during which guests learn how Margaritas took over the world whilst crafting three different margaritas of their own from scratch, plus tequila tasting and quesadillas to round off the afternoon. And one Friday per month, Picante are hosting Tequila Tasting Fridays to explore and savour three different types of tequila - Blanco, Reposado and Anejo.

The quartet behind Picante are a collective of the City’s independent hospitality figures uniting again, with Joe Wild (Taco or Don’t), Kate Meehan (Gin Journey, Paloma Café, London) Sally Jo Whitlow (Jenny’s Bar), and Danny Murphy (originally behind Jenny’s Bar, Berry & Rye, Aloha, Botanical Garden, and Some Place).
