The fantastic new venue in the Birkenhead area of the Borough of Wirral is striving to reinvigorate a part of the City Region that has recently fell under hard times.

FestEVOL's Future Yard event is the first in a trilogy of events taking place in the city's suburban areas over the Summer, with the second and third leg taking place in the Vauxhall suburbs venue Invisible Wind Factory.

With a vibrant injection of music featuring a whole host of local talented Scousers performing at the venue including She Drew The Gun, Natalie McCool, Munkey Junkey, The Mysterines, All We Are and Trudy And The Romance to name a few.

Future Yard is part of a move by independent businesses to show that the suburbs are brimming with life too; and the City Centre is not the only place you can go for drinks and great music.

The venue also offers a coffee shop & bar that is open 7 days a week. They encourage you to come and bring your laptop or a friend to catch up with over some great food and a coffee.

Future Yard are also stocking locally brewed beer including their very own Yard Pilsner, alongside other locally brewed in the city's boroughs such as the likes of Glen Affric and Black Lodge Brewing.

The yard area is an amalgamation of industrial inspired decor and bohemian pallet seating, lit up by glistening bulbs strewn above the patrons and creating a beautiful atmosphere; illuminating its presence for everyone to see.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), Future Yard is supported by the likes of Wirral Borough Council, local music magazine Bido Lito, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the Liverpool Metropolitan Mayor. Future Yard is setting itself up for exactly what it states in it's name - the future.

Not to mention all of the hard work that Co-Founders such as Craig Pennington are putting in to make this a successful venue that benefits the creative & hospitality communities. Then throw into the mix that they opened up the multi-purpose venue, coffee shop & bar during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Featuring artists from across the City Region - the City of Liverpool to the Boroughs of Knowsley and Wirral - Future Yard is beautifully demonstrating what a talented place we come from and that there is definitely something in the water here that just creates quality artists.
