Wild Thang Achieves Top Accolade At Downtown In Business's 'City Of Liverpool Business Awards'

Wild Thang Earns A Top Award At The City Of Liverpool Business Awards

The team at Wild Thang have won the prestigious Chief Executive’s Award at the Downtown in Business City of Liverpool Business Awards 2024 under the leadership of Andrew Dwerryhouse.

The event was held at the breathtaking Grade II Listed Sefton Park Palm House in Liverpool on Friday the 4th of July. The dome shaped Victorian Palm House dates back to 1896, with its floral interior creating a beautiful world-class environment for the awards celebration.

The City of Liverpool Business Awards (COLBA) were established by Downtown in Business in 2004 to acknowledge and celebrate companies and entrepreneurs that have made a successful and significant contribution to economic growth in the Liverpool City Region.

Other winners at the event that Wild Thang have as clients include: Jayne Moore Media, Sutcliffe, Krol Corlett Construction, and Warwick Northwest who were awarded overall Business of the Year.

Wild Thang Managing Director, Andrew Dwerryhouse, said: 'I know first-hand the incredible work Downtown in Business do supporting and celebrating organisations across the UK business community, so this is one of the best moments in my professional life and gives me an incredible sense of pride, but as always I will only ever receive an award on behalf of our team because it’s all of those amazing and talented individuals that are all part of the Wild Thang family that make these things possible.'

He added: 'For those who don’t know it’s Wild Thang’s 28th year in business, starting out with a small Princes Trust grant, we are by no means an overnight success & while we are now a multi award winning company this one feels extra special because it is the prestigious Chief Executive’s Award chosen personally  and presented by the Downtown CEO Frank Mckenna, to be recognised by a peer you genuinely both admire and respect is nothing short of sensational.'

Andew, said: 'In the same week we heard the news that we are also a finalist in the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce Innovation in Business Awards in three categories, so it’s got to go down as one of the best weeks in Wild Thang’s history in terms of positive recognition.'

Frank McKenna, Downtown in Business CEO, said: 'It is always difficult to choose the winner of the Chief Executives award at COLBA, as there are so many outstanding businesses to select from in the Liverpool City Region. However, having observed first-hand the momentum and growth of Wild Thang in recent times, Andrew and his team were worthy winners this year.'

Frank added: 'The success of the business is built on the quality of the product they produce, the way in which they immerse themselves into the brands that they work with, and the enthusiasm in which they approach their work. I have also been hugely impressed by the company’s ability to expand into new territories, not least the US, and I am sure that Wild Thang will continue to be a role model and one of Liverpool’s success stories for many years to come.'
