Sky Atlantic's 'Tin Star' Season 3 Is To Be Set In Liverpool, With Filming Commencing In Late 2019

Tin Star Season 3 Set To Conclude In The Liverpool City Region

Liverpool Film Office has announced that Liverpool will be the 'starring role' as it is the primary location in the third and final season of the critically acclaimed Sky Atlantic Original TV show, Tin Star, which will be filmed in late 2019.

The Liverpool Film Office also stated that an 'explosive third and final season' has been 'commissioned' with six hour-long episodes. Filming is set to commence in late 2019, with shooting for the series culmination to be placed in the heart of the city; taking advantage of the diverse locations across the Liverpool Region.

Liverpool has been chosen to finish the Tin Star series instead of the shooting location in the Canadian Rockies as with the two previous seasons.

The show stars English actor, Tim Roth, who has had starring roles in Planet of The Apes (2001) and Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight, Reservoir Dogs and Four Rooms.

Co-starring with Tim Roth is America actress, Christina Hendricks, who has starred in TV shows such as AMC's Mad Men and NBC's Good Girls, as well as films such as The Strangers: Prey at Night, Lost River, Drive, Fist Fight and the upcoming Toy Story 4.

The Sky Atlantic Original show is available on Sky Atlantic, Amazon Prime Video and NOW TV. Tin Star is produced Kudos TV, the makers of the acclaimed Broadchurch series starring David Tennant and Olivia Coleman, as well as the TV series Grantchester with leading roles played by James Norton and Robson Green.

The now Liverpool City Region-based 'Tin Star' was created by British writer and director Rowan Joffe who has previously been involved with high profile projects such as 28 Weeks Late, Brighton Rocks, The American and Before I Go To Sleep. Joffe has worked with stars such as George Clooney, Colin Firth, Nicole Kidman, John Hurt and Helen Mirren.

You can expect the explosive third series of Tin Star to air on Sky Atlantic and other select streaming services such as NOW TV in 2020.
