BARNACLE Announces Christmas Eve Lunch & New Year's Eve Set Menus To Celebrate The Liverpool City Region's Culinary Heritage

Nestled in the stunning Duke Street Market Mezzanine space, top Liverpool chefs including Paul Askew and Harry Marquart have been achieving great things with their recently opened Scouse Brasserie that is celebrating the fabulous culinary history and quality of the Liverpool City Region.


Through their attention to detail and focus on sustainability, celebrating provenance and using local ingredients from across Liverpool's various boroughs; from Wirral to Knowsley and Sefton.


BARNACLE has now announced that they are taking bookings for a set Christmas Eve Lunch and a New Year's Eve Set Menu.

The 24th of December has the Christmas Eve lunch priced at £70 per person, and includes many of the current dishes to choose from including Peter Jones’ Winter Squash, Mrs. Kirkham’s, Granola, Tarragon; Mr. Wards’ Peterhead hake, mussels, swiss chard, seaweed, turnip; and a Christmas Down Under pavlova.

New Year’s Eve is a sumptuous curation across 8 courses which includes ‘New Liverpool Seafood Chowder’ - crab, clam, cockles, Southport smoked pork, kohlrabi; venison, sloes and girolle; red poll beef, langoustine, Growing Field’s Roscoff; and Chocolate, chestnut, Morton’s double cream, Wirral raw milk butter. This is £85 per person.


Harry Marquart, said: 'We are all so happy with opening Barnacle and it’s been brilliant here ever since. The feedback for our menus - the main dishes and also our bar snacks and drinks - has been truly wonderful and we already feel at home at Duke Street Market.'


He continued: 'Our festive menus are something extra special for anyone wanting to celebrate Xmas Eve and New Year’s Eve in fine style. We have curated two lovely dining experiences from our kitchen at Barnacle to add some magic to the festive season.'
