With the restaurant being booked weeks ahead and the bar and snug forging their own identity for cosy drinks and catch ups, it’s Barnacle’s Sunday roast service which is also the talk of the town.

The menu changes each week with what’s available from the Liverpool Bay Area’s local suppliers, with starter and pudding options available from Barnacle’s regular menu.

Sunday roast mains include melt-in-the-mouth sirloin of beef with roast potatoes, wilted greens, Chantenay carrots, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese and beef jus, to roasted butternut squash with sauce vierge, vegetarian gravy and all the requisite trimmings.

There’s also Barnacle’s range of signature cocktails and a tailored range of global red and white wines, fizz and craft beers to make the Sunday roast experience even more special during the winter weeks.

Barnacle’s Restaurant Director Harry Askew says: “Liverpool absolutely loves its Sunday roasts and when we began planning for our Barnacle Restaurant and Bar we knew we’d introduce our own service. And since the launching our Sunday roasts, we’ve been packed every weekend.”

Harry added: “We’re keeping things simple and remain focused on the seasons, so each service is a true reflection of what’s available around us, from the finest beef, lamb and chicken through to the most succulent vegetables. We’re shaping Sundays into afternoons of escapism this winter, to while away the hours with friends and family as our guests. The reaction has been tremendous, with lots of people want to experience what we’re about.”
