Looking For A Career In Professional Makeup, Hair & Bodypaint? The United Makeup Artists Expo (UMAexpo) Taking Place on Sunday The 26th & Monday The 27th Of March 2023 At The Hilton In Liverpool City Centre Will Be The Perfect Opportunity For You
The UK's most inclusive trade show for professional makeup, hair and bodypaint artists returns to Liverpool following a successful debut in the City Region during 2022.
After many years based in London, UMAexpo is once again bringing its hub of education, insight and inspiration for professional and aspiring make-up artists to the Hilton Liverpool City Centre.
The event brings together artists from across all genres of the makeup world: classic beauty and editorial work, film and TV — including special effects and prosthetics — all the way through to bodypainting and illusion self-paints that you will have seen go viral across social media.
UMAexpo is known for its friendly vibe, with big-name make-up artists often demo-ing or available for a chat in the midst of specialist retailers and exhibitors.
This year the UMAexpo is excited to welcome the likes of:
Kirsty Stanway, who has led the make-up team on BBC's Casualty for a decade.
One of the best bodypainters in the UK, Cat Finlayson.
Emmy and BAFTA-winning SFX artist Davy Jones.

There's plenty of education and talks scheduled across Sunday the 25th and Monday the 26th of March across the Hilton venue, situated in Liverpool ONE.
Monday is also a big day for young make-up artists and students from colleges across the UK, all arriving to enter the Warpaint Extra competitions. Warpaint Extra is the ultimate trade title for make-up artists, and its annual competition has helped to pave the way for winners to join big film productions, TV show teams and more. With five categories available, we're excited to see what these future talents will create!
Exhibitors include top colleges, offering Degrees and Diplomas to get the best start to a career as a makeup artist. This is alongside innovative professional makeup brands; such as Northern Lashes, the first plastic-free and biodegradable lashes in the UK, as well as US staples from across the pond, such as Los Angeles-based Makeup Designory and Premiere Products Inc, whose water-activated palettes are a mainstay in every pro's kit. not to mention the Liverpool-based 2LoveMy Skincare and more.
