Liverpool Bar Group Start Their Christmas Toy Appeal

Harrison’s Bar Group are collecting new toys and cash donations in the run-up to Christmas again this year and every donation is being matched by the business.

If you drop a toy into one of their venues the company will match it with another toy. Alternatively, if you donate through their GoFundMe, this will also be matched.

The appeal has started now and runs until Wednesday the 18th of December. All of the toys that come in will be given to several different local charities: including the Kirkby Toy Appeal, Southdene Community Centre and L30 Community Centre.

"We have set up two options to support this cause. The money option via GoFundMe, as some people don't have the time to call down with toys. We will use this money, matched by us, to purchase toys. The other option, as always, is to drop off a toy or indeed some toys at any of our sites.” - Nicola Halton, Head of Business Development at Harrisons Bar Group.

This is Harrisons Bar Group's latest effort to support Liverpool City Region community groups. The Bar Group includes: Abbey Road Bar & Kitchen, Harrisons Bar & Kitchen, Dwntwn, Scruffy Murphy & Scruffy Murphy Mathew Street, as well as the Jawbone Tavern.

Nicola Halton, Head of Business Development at Harrisons Bar Group, said: “All our venues Harrison’s Bar and Kitchen, Abbey Road Bar & Kitchen, Dwntwn,  two Scruffy Murphy sites and the new venue the Jawbone Tavern are community pubs/bars. We are a big part of the local community and things over the last few years have not improved for a lot of people in terms of standards of living. Wages are just not keeping up with the cost of living and us as well as a lot of our generous customers like to give back, especially at Christmas time."
