The First Match Of The Season For Tranmere Rovers FC Pits Former Club Star, Manny Monthe, Against The Squad

The first game of the season for Tranmere Rovers FC will bring former TRFC player Manny Monthe back against his former team.

The former Tranmere player originally played for the club on loan during the 2017/18 season when the club was in the national league. He became a fully pledged Rovers player in the 2018/19 season when the team gained a place in League Two.

He continued to play for the club during the 2019/20 season when Tranmere Rovers had reached a position in League One.

Due to the pandemic and with the 2019/20 season not having fully reached a conclusion with all games having been played. A vote but all other clubs to end the season early based on predicted results for the unplayed games meant that Tranmere Rovers was relegated to League Two for the 2020/21 season for which Manny Monthe again played for the club.

During his time at Tranmere Rovers, Manny Monthe was a centre-back that made 143 appearances for the club and scored 5 goals.

Tranmere Rovers is the only professional football club in the Borough of Wirral and has an extensive, rich history. The team is one of the three professional football clubs in the Liverpool City Region and on three occasions in the '90s, almost joined LFC & Everton in the Premier League.

Fans of Tranmere Rovers FC will be able to watch their beloved club in real life once again with the easing of restrictions. You can buy your tickets for the match online or at the gate on arrival.
