7 More Amazing Facts About The Royal Liver Building

  1. The construction for the RLB started in 1908.

  2. It finished completion in 1912.

  3. RLB was the first of The Three Graces to have been built; followed by the Port of Liverpool Building and the Cunard Building.

  4. The Royal Liver Building is found on the Waterfront of Liverpool City Centre and is one of the core elements to the district.

An alternate name for the Waterfront District is 'The Pier Head' although the Waterfront District tends to recognise the wider area including Mann Island and parts of The Stand, whereas the Pier Head is more constrained to The Three Graces and the arrival areas such as the Ferry Terminal and docking area for the cruise liners.
